Growing up in a Caribbean household, I was used to serious remedies: strong ginger, lemon, onion (yes, onion!), and garlic — no honey, no mercy. Every two weeks, I’d catch a cold like clockwork. Oof, just reading that makes you feel the burn, right?

When a stubborn virus hit me, I knew it was time to bring some of those roots into something I could actually handle. I promise we don’t use that crazy old concoction in our ginger shots today!

I can’t promise it will eradicate cold and flu forever, but it helped me tremendously. These days, when a sneaky virus tries to sneak through, it’s nowhere near as relentless as it used to be.
